Thava Indian Restaurant Grandwest

Absolutely incredible! This is hands down the best Indian food we've ever had. The entire experience was fantastic, and the atmosphere was lovely. We can't wait to go back!

5/5 Stars – Thava Indian Cuisine, GrandWest After weeks of craving a proper, authentic curry, we decided to visit Thava at GrandWest — and it did not disappoint! We ordered the lamb curry bunny chow, and it was absolutely incredible. The curry was rich, perfectly spiced, and full of flavor — exactly what I had been longing for. The service was just as impressive. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and after we mentioned it was our anniversary, he surprised us with a special dessert served by candlelight. It was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. Overall, an amazing experience. Delicious food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

My family and myself went to Thava Indian Restaurant GrandWest on two days. The food was excellent, proper Indian style. The chicken curry was super with the rotis. The waiters, Sarah & Anil were exemplary, not mentioning the others. Phillip was very accommodating when I requested for an earlier appointment. The hospitality overall was excellent. This is a place where you can get more than you can eat. I recommend anyone to have a satisfying meal. Thank you for the excellent service.

Thava serves the most delicious Indian cuisine in South Africa. The display and atmosphere are like stepping into a beautiful Indian fairytale. The food came quick, and we were treated with such care. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 stars The Family Mission

Fancied trying a curry in Cape Town and so Thava was recommended by a friend. The chicken tikka was probably the best I can ever remember eating and the lamb rogan josh was also exceptional and what I'd expect in a top Indian restaurant in London. Russel the waiter was very good and excellent first class service makes for a better dining experience.

"If you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal, look no further than the lamb shank. This dish is a masterpiece of slow-cooking. The lamb was impossibly tender, with a deeply rich flavor that spoke of hours of care and attention. It was served in a glossy, aromatic sauce that I wanted to finish with a spoon, and the creamy polenta (or mashed potatoes) served alongside was the ideal accompaniment.
